When Life Sucks

A youth forum titled When Life Sucks is taking place this Thursday in Castlemaine.

The event is being run by Youth Affairs Council Victoria and Department of Health and Human Services

It's in an effort to boost youth mental health, by providing forums and activities for people aged 12-25 who live, work, study or play in the Loddon-Campaspe region.

The Loddon-Campaspe Regional Partnership is looking to come up with ideas to inform future initiatives after youth mental health was identified as a concern at the Regional Assembly in May.

It's the 4th of 7 forums which are being held in the region in September and October with events already hosted in Bendigo, Echuca and Gisborne.

Forums in Boort and Maryborough are yet to be finalised while a mega forum is taking place at the Capital in Bendigo on October 27th.

Loddon Campaspe Regional Assembly acting chair David Richardson says anyone who attends the forums are welcome to contribute.

"It's hard to know what will be discussed, because these workshops are set up to listen to what young people need in the region," Richardson says

"so young people will be driving the content."

Anyone looking to sign up for one of the forums or get further information can go to www.whenlifesucks.com
