Stuck wondering what to do over the long weekend?
Well worry no more! Here are the top events happening across the Mid North Coast this weekend...
The Tacking Point Tavern Social Golf Club will be hosting a Charity Day at the PMQ GC, supporting mental health and suicide prevention in Memory of Robbie McGuirk. The event will have a staggered start between 6:30-8:30am, with an entry fee of $40pp or $150 per team of 4. After a day on the green, participants will meet back at the TPT from 1:15pm for a presentation.
The Kempsey's rugby league community are invited to a reunion at the Heights Bowlo, with lawn bowls from 12.30pm. All players and supporters from the days of the Cowboys, Dragons and Mustangs are welcome to come along.
From 9am – 3pm, take the family along to the Port Koala Hospital Open Day! There'll be stacks of entertainment including Sing Australia, the Koala Orchestra, and a ukulele group! Plus games, face painting, traditional stalls, and a walk and talk tour. And dig into a delicious feast of Devonshire Teas, egg and bacon rolls, a sausage sizzle, tea, coffee and soft drinks throughout the day.
Catch the Easter Country Music Festival presented by the Nambucca Valley Country Music Club in a charity event from 11am on the Main Stage in Nambucca Bowling Club. The festival will raise funds for ‘Riding for the Disabled' at Kempsey and the 'Palliative Care' section of Macksville Hospital.
If you're after some Easter Sunday excitement, don't miss the Piglet Races at South West Rocks Country Club, with racing from 1pm, raffles, a BBQ, and live entertainment from Chris Rose.
Port Macquarie Lions will release over 2,000 ducks into Kooloonbung Creek for their annual Duck Race, raising funds for a number of local community organisations. Don't miss the action, kicking off at 10.30am.
