What They’re Looking For At The 'Mortal Kombat' Film Casting This Weekend
Your big break starts now!
Earlier this year, it was announced that classic video game series Mortal Kombat would be receiving another Hollywood action movie adaptation… and it would be shot in Adelaide!
Naturally this mean more jobs for those in the local entertainment industry, as well as THOUSANDS of extras needed.
Heesom Casting will this Saturday, August 17th be inviting anyone (ranging in ages and fitness levels) to audition for a role as an extra, between 9am - 2pm at Adelaide Studios, 1 Mulberry Rd, Glenside.
Take a listen to what the casting directors had to say:
"Heesom Casting are opening their doors to any and all Adelaide residents who wish to appear as EXTRAS in the major blockbuster feature film, Mortal Kombat. We have hundreds of roles to cast! So come on down and meet the Australian Casting Directors on Saturday 17th August."
The casting call also specifies that they are searching for people aged between 18 - 50, of all shapes, sizes and ethnicities, however, “if you have something that makes you district, extreme or unique we want to meet you!”
As for specialty roles available, casting directors are looking for:
- Japanese men, women and children (aged 5+)
- Athletic women of Chinese descent
- Martial artists of Asian descent
- Diehard Footy, Boxing, Wrestling and MMA is fans!!
- Professional Body Builders, MMA Fighters & Wrestlers
- People with body art, piercings, crazy hair styles etc.
- People of African, Hispanic, Latino/a,
- Indigenous American, and Korean descent
- 9 to 12 year old girls of Chinese descent
- Indigenous Australians
“We can only consider children who are Japanese (5+) and Chinese girls aged 9 to 12. All other extras must be aged 18+.”
