The Kardashian clan have made quite the name for themselves.
Now that the family is growing, thanks the new bubbas, we’re sure their empire will only become more established.
Kim Kardashian is one of the sisters who has welcomed a new baby into the world over the past year and she and Kanye sure have made bold choices with their children’s names!
First, there was North.
Then, there was Saint.
Now, we have Chicago.
All very unique names, right?
Well, it turns out that Kim wasn’t too keen on naming Chicago ‘Chicago’.
While appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Kim revealed she would have revealed a name that was one-syllable, to follow the ‘rule’ of her first two.
"It kind of messes with me. I'm not going to lie. I really like the one-syllable thing.”
She now refers to Chicago as ‘Chi’ (pronounced like ‘shy’).
"We were gonna name her Jo, 'cause my Grandma, Mary Jo. Or we were gonna go with Grace — and then it was Chicago. We ended up with Chicago.”
Donda, the name of Kanye’s late mother, was another name they considered.
"He really wanted his mother's name, and I love that name too, but I just wasn't sure. It’s so much to live up to."
Eventually, they decided on Kanye’s hometown.
"That is a place that made him, and a place that he remembers his family from.”
Do YOU think this is a sweet reason to call their baby Chicago?
