Brace yourselves Sydney - wild weather is on the way this arvo.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a flood warning with up to 200 millimetres of rain tipped to drench parts of Sydney, the Illawarra region and parts of the New South Wales coast.
Emergency Services Minister Troy Grant urging us to be prepared.
"The best advice I have for people across the Sydney basin is to listen and heed the advice of the state emergency services," he told the Hit newsroom.
"Obviously follow their advice, and securing any furniture around the home is important.
"Cleaning out your gutters, making sure nothing can go a-miss, the little things you can do to minimise damage is most important."
