A man accused of stealing a luxury car before crashing it in Surfers Paradise is due to face court today.
Police have released body-cam footage of the moment the 29-year-old's alleged rampage came to an end.
He is accused of stealing a BMW sedan from a home at Shailer Park on April 11, which was spotted at a petrol station at Goodna around 8.45pm on Saturday night.
That is when the man allegedly pulled out a knife before speeding away.
According to Queensland Police, he made attempts to refuel the vehicle a number of times on his way down to the Gold Coast, and also tried to car-jack a number of other cars.
The pursuit eventually came to an end when the BMW smashed into another car at Surfers Paradise, before hitting the Voco building.
Police at the scene used a stun gun to apprehend the alleged offender.
He was charged with one count each of dangerous operation of motor vehicle, unlawful use of motor vehicle, attempted unlawful entry to a car, obstruct police and possession of dangerous drug.
He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
