Victoria Records 50 New COVID Cases Amid Concerns Too Many Infectious While In The Community

Victoria recorded 50 new COVID cases on Tuesday, with 40 linked to known outbreaks.
Health authorities remain highly concerned however over the 39 cases which were infectious while in the community.
Tuesday’s positive numbers brings Victoria’s latest figures to 522 active cases, including one new case in hotel quarantine.
The state saw 48,000 Victorians tested, and 29,810 take one for the team in receiving a COVID vaccination.
Meantime, police have concluded their investigation into the illegal North Caulfield engagement party that sparked one of the state's latest outbreaks.
56 of the guests who attended the pre-nuptial event have each been fined $5452, bringing the total infringement figure to $305,312.
And the investigation into hundreds of people attending a funeral in Shepperton, has also come to its close with police on Tuesday determining there was no breach of COVID health rules.
