Victoria has recorded 11 new local Covid-19 cases for the second day consecutive day.

Again, Monday's case numbers are all linked to current outbreaks and were all in isolation throughout their infectious period.

But Victorians will have to wait another day before any announcement is made regarding lockdown lifting as scheduled.

Health Minister Martin Foley said that no decision on being released from lock down has been made, despite another set of encouraging numbers

“Suffice to say, as we stand here today, nothing has been finalised, but we are mindful of the need, as soon as possible, to share the data"

- Martin Foley

Covid commander Jeroen Weimar said they are confident we are on top of the outbreak, suggesting we are on the path for restrictions to lift this week.

A cabinet meeting is underway again today where officials will be discussing the roadmap out of lockdown, hinting that schools could return to face-to-face learning by Wednesday.

Meantime, New South Wales reported 145 new cases on Monday, with a whopping 51 infectious in the community.
