Want to make a difference? VICSES Seymour Unit are urgently seeking new members to help respond to their local community!

Victoria State Emergency Service

VICSES rely on volunteers to provide on-the-ground support in emergencies. These could be due to natural disasters such as floods, storms, tsunami and earthquake.

Hands-on operational roles include:

  • General rescue
  • Road rescue
  • Rescue boat operations
  • Land search
  • Urban search and rescue
  • Traffic management
  • Rope rescue
  • Community education

If rescue-focused roles aren't for you, you can always assist with non-operational support roles which can help you to build professional skills.

Non-operational support roles include:

  • Administration
  • Fundraising
  • Media and public relations
  • Community education
