A woman is due to face Southport Magistrates Court today over an alleged stabbing in Surfers Paradise.

The 20-year-old from Upper Coomera was arrested and charged by police this week, accused of stabbing another woman inside a Surfers Paradise Boulevard hotel on Saturday afternoon.

She's accused of attacking the woman during an altercation around 2.30pm, leaving her with multiple wounds to her head and shoulder.

The victim was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

While alleged offender has been charged with acts intended to maim, obstruct police and breach of bail.
