UPDATE: Winged Wonders Butterfly Display At Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens

The scene was set for a show, but they say never to work with children or animals. 

Not all the butterflies that were to be part of the Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens’ Winged Wonders butterfly display, scheduled for May 24 to June 1, have emerged from their chrysalis as hoped.

Residents still have an opportunity to visit the Botanic Gardens Information Centre and see some of the winged wonders that have emerged and learn how to attract local butterflies to their garden.

All entry and associated activities are free.
