A large panel has been torn off a building in the Sydney CBD, striking two passersby as the winds continue to wreak havoc.

The panel was ripped from the Clarence Street entrance of Wynyard Station this afternoon, with a man and a woman sustaining minor injuries from the incident.

According to Nine News, the man has an injured foot and the woman has a cut on her arm.

Witnesses report seeing the large metal sheet falling from the sky from the newly-renovated building.

As you can see in the images below, the missing panel is a part of a decorative structure at the entrance of the station.

Pedestrians are advised to avoid the area, with road closures also affecting the Sydney CBD.
