Two boys have been charged following an investigation into the burglary of a Mooroobool business.

It's alleged alcohol was stolen.

Two boys have been charged following ongoing investigations into a burglary of an English Street business at Mooroobool on Monday.

Police from Cairns property crime squad yesterday executed a search warrant on a Goru court address where a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy were arrested.

It will be alleged a vehicle was used to force entry into the business during the early hours of March 11 before stealing a large quantity of alcohol.

The 17-year-old boy was charged with two counts of burglary, three counts of receiving tainted property and one count each of attempted burglary, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and entering a premise and committing an indictable offence.


The 15-year-old boy was also charged with a number of offences including three counts of burglary, two counts each of entering a premise and committing an indictable offence and unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count of attempted burglary.

 

The offences also related to several outstanding property related investigations from the Smithfield area.
