Post

Those already on the road are being diverted onto Park Road, South Street and Clyde Street.

Significant delays are expected.

Endeavour Energy emergency crews are responding to remove a power pole that has been brought down across Victoria Road, Rydalmere between Park Road and Euston Street. The pole was brought down earlier this afternoon after being hit by a truck. Approximately 120 customers in the area are without power due to the accident. Due to the heavy traffic conditions in the area, Endeavour Energy does not expect to have the pole removed before 6:30pm this evening. Live Traffic NSW is advising motorists to avoid the area if possible and consider using Kissing Point Road as an alternate route. Diversions around the site are in place at Park Road westbound and Clyde Street eastbound, however, traffic is heavy and extra travel time should be expected. Endeavour Energy would like to thank both motorists and customers currently without power for their patience as work is completed to safely rectify this situation.
