The final commitment ceremonies took place on Married At First Sight last night, and while Sarah, Telv, John and Mel all chose to give their relationships a go on the outside, Troy and Ashley did not.
Troy was the first to speak during the ceremony and basically told Ashley that he was sick of trying to make their relationship work on his own.
Now, after the emotional ceremony and before the dramatic dinner party tonight, Troy has decided to take a jab at his TV wife on Instagram whilst reflecting on his time on MAFS.
"What a ride that was ... but the journey goes on... I came into the experiment completely committed to finding love and ready to settle down.
"I gave it everything I had and left nothing on the table.
"It’s a shame it wasn’t reciprocated from the other side... Quite quickly I realised I had to try a little too hard to make the relationship work.
"I continued to believe I could bring out the best in my partner right to the end, but it was not to be.
"While we had a few good times, things would always revert back to a less than ideal situation, with petty fights and nitpicking, which is not my style.
"I often felt like that no matter what I did, it was never good enough. I was constantly walking on eggshells.
"Rest assured I’m not the type of guy who stays down, and will quickly get back up and continue on the journey."
Ashley posted her own reflective post on Instagram this morning, saying that she doesn't "have a bad thing to say about Troy".
"I can definitely say I have learnt a lot along the way, especially about myself.
"I don’t have a bad thing to say about Troy, I wish we could have made it work, but you just can’t force things. I want to say a massive Thank you for all the support I have received, it has literally held me together over these last few weeks!
"As for me, unfortunately I didn’t meet the man of my dreams, but at least I put myself out there and hopefully I will meet my soulmate soon!"
Oh, tonight's reunion dinner party is going to be VERY interesting...
