For the next two months Townsville locals have the chance to get their hands on more than 30,000 LEGOTM bricks with a touring exhibition that’s hit CityLibraries. Brick by Brick: Build Your Own Capital encourages little (and some big) kids to create replicas of their favourite buildings in the National Capital, Canberra.

Townsville City Councillor Colleen Doyle, said the exhibition was sure to be popular with visitors of all ages, but was especially aimed at primary school-aged students. “By bringing this exhibition to Townsville, it will help connect North Queensland to our nation’s capital, Canberra, which is important to all Australians as the home to our Federal Parliament.”

The touring exhibition is designed for children from four years of age and is open to the public at CityLibraries in Flinders Street until October 1, 2017.
