Member for Dubbo Troy Grant and Minister for Tourism & Major Events, Adam Marshall met with Narromine Council this week, with local tourism, community events, business sector growth and future developments all on the agenda.

Member for Dubbo Troy Grant said he was pleased the Minister chose to visit Narromine, giving council the opportunity to highlight what the shire has to offer.

”The council briefed the Minister and I on their growth and development strategies and their plans to continue to promote the area as an attractive and affordable tourist destination,” Mr Grant said.

Narromine Mayor Craig Davies said council is committed to supporting tourism and the visitor economy and work is underway on a new visitors guide.

“I thank the Minister and our local member for coming to Narromine this week, we had a productive meeting and took the opportunity to show the Minister through the aviation museum,” Mr Davies said.

“The aviation museum is a terrific tourist drawcard for the Narromine shire, we are lucky here to have a number of great visitor attractions.”

Minister Marshall said he enjoyed his visit to Narromine and commended council on their work to increase the communities profile as an attractive tourist destination.
