Three of Melbourne's train stations are on alert after a Covid19 positive man used public transport last Friday night.

The man caught the train from Cragieburn to Southern Cross at around 5:30pm, and then returned home via Flinders Street at around 10:30pm.

Anyone who was on the same services as he was, now needs to get tested and isolate until they return a negative result.

Hundreds of people are now isolating after exposure sites were listed in Altona North, Epping and the CBD.

Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton says this latest case goes to show... we need to be more vigilant with using QR Codes

“Everyone should do it all of the time, you just don’t know where a case might pop up,” he said. “You want to be able to provide that clarity around exactly who was in close contact when someone was infectious”

The full list of exposure sites - can be found at the Department of Health web site.
