One of Sydney’s most iconic venues has just scored itself a licence to party until the break of dawn - literally.
The Lansdowne Hotel has just been granted approval to run until 5am which is past the usual 1:30am lock out laws.
The hotel is renowned for its amazing underground nightlife vibe and live performances.
The bar is located on the corner of Broadway and City Road and will be joining other late-night venues outside the Sydney CBD and Kings Cross lockout zone such as Freda's in Chippendale, The Marlborough Hotel in Newtown, the Sly Fox in Enmore, Strawberry Hills Hotel in Surry Hills and the Pyrmont Bridge Hotel in Pyrmont.
In celebration of their revised hours, the club will be throwing an LGBTQ-inclusive and aggressively glamourous self-expression party —all the way from LA.
Famous for its boundary-pushing music and for the first time ever, A Club Called Rhonda is coming to Sydney, specifically to The Lansdowne Hotel. The venue is also bringing out US Bartender of the Year, Yael Vengroff for a special performance as part of the night's festivities.
The party will kick-off at 9pm on August 24th and will run all the way through until their new closing time, if you can last that long.
Live music enthusiasts can expect a night of exotic activities coupled with a strong sense of community with the idea to bring people together under the guided cause of music well into the earliest hours of Sunday morning.
The event promises nothing short of good times, genre-defying dance music and open-mindedness.
