If you're just having one of those days and are looking for something to distract yourself with, if only for a few minutes, you should check out the latest optical illusion circulating the internet.
Reddit user NightBreeze13 uploaded a wonderfully colourful image onto the website earlier this week and if you stare at it for long enough, the colours all supposedly disappear!
Now, it's no colour-changing dress, but it is pretty cool to see the rainbow of colours disappear before your very eyes!
It turns out, this particular illusion was founded in the 1800s by Swiss doctor Ignaz Paul Vital Troxler, who dubbed the phenomenon of "rigidly fixating one’s gaze on some element in the visual field can cause surrounding stationary images to seem to slowly disappear or fade”, Troxler's Fading.
It's not much, but it'll keep you distracted from everything else in the worLd for a while, which is nice!
