Gold miner John has quickly developed a fanbase on Australian Survivor this season, not only for the abundance of promos he was in before the season’s premiere, but for his ‘Aussie battler’ persona.

When tsunami survivor Sarah was faced with her biggest fears during a reward challenge this week, John was the first person to swim out to her and offer support, further elevating his ‘good guy’ reputation.

But perhaps the Contender’s biggest identifier is his iconic mullet.
