Thick fog has blanketed Melbourne for two days in a row – leaving flights stranded.

Low cloud, common to Melbourne, blanketed the city this morning.

A Qantas flight from Los Angeles to Melbourne is believed to have been forced to land in Sydney instead.  News.com also reports a flight from Tasmania to Melbourne was grounded for two hours as it was too dangerous to land.
