The TAC approves funding for safety upgrades in Mildura

This month, a targeted program to improve pedestrian and cyclist safety will start rolling out in Mildura.

A $3 million suite of projects will surround Ontario Avenue and Thirteenth Street.

$2.1 million has been provided by the TAC, to improve pedestrian and cyclist safety.

The majority of improvements will take place along Ontario Avenue and Thirteenth Street.

A new roundabout, five zebra crossings, and a timed 40 km/hr speed zone will be introduced.

19 built-up residential areas in total will see a speed reduction from 50 to 40 km per hour across the next year, as part of intersection treatments.
