No classic movie is safe! It seems like all of our favourite films of the '90s and early '00s are getting transformed into stage musicals and now, the Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants is too!
Alcon Entertainment and Alloy Entertainment announced today that Tony-winning producer Scott Delman, who's behind the extremely successful Mean Girls musical, has acquired the rights for the teen coming-of-age film franchise and will turn both movies into a vibrant musical showcase.
The performance will have all four friends from the films together again, sharing those iconic pants whilst trying to figure out how they fit into this big wide world with forbidden romance, family issues and terminal illness all at the forefront of their experience.
There have been rumours of a third Sisterhood film for quite a while now, but nothing has come of it just yet.
So, perhaps we'll see the friends on stage before we see them on screen again?
