Prime Minister Scott Morrison is jetting off to the UK on his biggest overseas trip in a year for the G7 Summit.

The PM's major speech focusing on reforms to foreign policy effectively protecting countries from economic oppression had it's dress rehearsal on Wednesday at the PerthUSAsia Centre, before flying out to Cornwall to meet with world leaders.

Headlining the talks will be the global economic recovery in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and the growing threat of the Indo-Pacific conflict.

According to International Affairs Expert Dr Keith Suter the threat of conflict within Indo-Pacific Asia is very real.

"China's target is to be the number one country in the world by 2049, the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist revolution and this is causing all sort of shock waves"

It will also mark the first face-to-face with US President Joe Biden.
