The monster monsoon has transformed our town, and our roads.
Hervey Range Road has recently opened after the severe weather event, but there's still one road block that will take time to recover.
Alice River Bridge will be out of action for sometime after coping a hard hit from the flooding.
Department of Transport and Main Roads (Queensland) posted an update on Facey yesterday showing the extent of the damage.
Not only is almost half the bridge missing, but it's foundations have taken a knock as well.
The timeline on when the bridge will re-open is unknown.
"We're still undertaking engineering assessments to determine the best way to manage the extensive damage to the Alice River Bridge on Hervey Range Road, from the recent flooding," the page wrote.
For access to Hervey Range, you can use Black River Road via the Bruce Highway.
