Flinders University is celebrating the opening of the New Venture Institute, a new innovation hub on the Limestone Coast.
The facility is designed to give businesses and employment a boost in the South East.
Ten local entrepreneurs already taking part in the development program Venture Dorm.
The scheme is widely recognised in the industry, Flinders' NVI slated as the best university entrepreneurial incubator in the Asia-Pacific region by the UBI Benchmark Study.
The hub is supported by the $23 million Federal Government's Incubator Support Program, the State Government and the City of Mount Gambier.
The facility will work to provide a co-working area for locals, with easy connections to a global network of markets and expertise.
The incubator program has already seen success across South Australia, the program supporting more than 230 start ups and creating up to 60 spin off jobs since the institute was established in Tonsley in 2013.
