National Lamington Day is just around the corner and what better way to celebrate than with an old school canteen lamington drive for a good cause?

Nothing that's what.

This Sunday the 21st July, Bennelong is hosting its annual fundraising drive with all proceeds being donated to R U OK?

R U OK? is one of Australia’s biggest suicide prevention organisations which is all about conjuring meaningful conversations to save lives.

This weekend, chef Peter Gilmore’s iconic cherry jam lamington will be the star of the show and available across the entire venue.

Mind you, this is no ordinary lamington.

This is the ultimate combination of delicious cherry jam coconut ice-cream and sponge encased in glossy chocolate ganache. If that wasn’t enough, it’s surrounded with flecks of liquid nitrogen coconut milk parfaits.

The Bennelong cherry jam lamington will be available at Bennelong Restaurant and at Cured & Cultured during lunch from 12pm, and dinner from 5:30pm (bookings are essential).

The dessert will also be available at Bennelong Bar from 12pm right throughout the afternoon to dinner until sold out (walk-ins welcome).

So, what better reason do you need to share a lamington (or two) and have a meaningful conversation?
