A man has been charged by police following an assault in Moorabbin on March 16, in which the teen known as "Egg Boy" was kicked after egging Senator Fraser Anning.

Egg Boy, formally known as 17-year-old Will Connolly, was tackled after cracking an egg on the Senator's head.

A 20-year-old man from West Footscray has today been charged for kicking Connolly 'a number of times' while he was being restrained.

The man has been released and will be charged on summons with assault by kicking.
