The grand vision for The Store site in Newcastle has been unveiled.
It's been revealed the planned bus interchange isn't the only part of the $200 million dollar redevelopment, with two 90m high-rise apartments as well as office and retail space also planned for the site.
The state government has also revealed the iconic facade will be bulldozed as it's too badly damaged to be salvaged.
Demolition at the site will likely begin in mid-2018, with the DOMA group spearheading the development.
However a development application for the entire project needs to be approved.
