We’ve grown up hearing the familiar tune of cheaper Tuesday pizzas on our TV’s and a whole range of 2-for-1 deals that made having our mates over a little cheaper.

But Jamie Oliver has come out to say something that a lot of people are furious over - he’s proposing a ban on 2-for-1 pizza deals.

The ban is proposed for over in the UK, where he has already lobbied Scottish First Minister Nicole Sturgeon, who has now pledged a ban on these promotions for pizzas, as well as for other foods that are high in sugar, fat or salt.

While the proposed ban is for all the right reasons, to help halve childhood obesity by 2030, this has not stopped pizza lovers from taking to the internet to unleash their fury upon him…

Jamie has since responded, suggesting that for every buy-one-get-one-free deal on a product that’s junk food, you should have 3 for healthy products.
