It was a big day for the Daniher Family at Ungarie on Saturday, with thousands gathering in the small village to recognise the achievements of their four famous sons, Terry, Neale, Chris and Anthony.

A giant Sherrin was officially unveiled in front of a big crowd at Bing Walder Park, before an even bigger crowd gathered at the nearby sportsground, for a special Danihers vs All Stars footy match.

Among the AFL greats taking to the field was Wagga AFL legend Paul Kelly, while Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack, who coached the All Stars, also pulled on a jumper and took to the field for the final quarter.

The brothers played more than 750 games of AFL/VFL football between them, and since Neale’s diagnosis in 2013, have also helped to raise millions of dollars for Motor Neurone Disease research, with another $23,000 raised on Saturday alone.
