Painting your house is quite a personal thing because everyone has their own taste, needs and wants. But sometimes, it can be a bit confusing where you should start and knowing what works for every room in the house. Here's your head start to choosing the best wall colours for each part of your home:

You want your kitchen to be a clean space that's enjoyable to work in and host the family - nobody wants a gloomy-looking kitchen! In saying that, there are some colours that work really well for this area of the house:

There's no denying white makes everything bright and open, but it's a great colour to paint your kitchen if you want a touch of modern sophistication. Plus, you're bound to spend a lot of time in one, as most people start their day with grabbing breakfast! It's also a great base if you want to add in a pop of colour!

Adding a touch of blue will give a clean and crisp look to your kitchen. Just make sure you don't overdo it - a light blue will work wonders on cabinets and drawers. Use it to balance out a predominantly white kitchen, just don't go over-the-top! It will give you room to further decorate or, just leave as is.

 Living room

The living room is where you go to unwind, watch TV or entertain guests. It's one of those rooms that you really want to feel warm and cosy. A lot of that can be felt just by choosing the right wall colour and making sure it works with your chosen colour scheme. Here's a good start:

Using ivory as your living room colour will add a timeless look while still having room to go all out with furniture and home decor! You might want to add wooden accents or that blush pink armchair you've been lusting over!

Taupe living room walls will make your area feel warm and soothing. It's not quite deep as brown, but also not as light or dull as a solid grey - it's the best of both worlds. A lot can be done with this colour and it makes adding dimension and interiors quite simple: cream is a dream colour combination with taupe - whether that's by adding a throw rug or choosing a cream sofa to the room!

Making your bedroom the cosiest spot in the house is super important when it comes to interior design! You don't want to choose a colour that might go out-of-date or is too bold - you want to feel relaxed, after all:

Grey is a marvellous colour for a bedroom, as it is the perfect neutral. It's the colour you never knew you needed - it's the new must-have colour when it comes to interior design and decorating. It has made a name for itself as a go-to for bedrooms and beyond, and it can be easily styled with bedding and furniture!

Whether you want your bathroom to reflect that hotel you stayed in when holidaying in Mykonos, or if you want it to be more luxurious to make the most of your pamper evenings, there are some great combinations and colours that can do just the trick:

Give your bathroom the ultimate beachside feel by having a blue accent wall! It is a common colour for a bathroom, which means it works wonders, and gives off a feeling of cleanliness - which you definitely want being a bathroom! It will also make you think the ocean is right outside, so technically, you're always on holiday!

Black & White

Take it one step further and paint your bathroom black & white for the ultimate luxurious feel. This is perfect if your taps and other accents are metallic. You know it will never go out of style and if you're a monochrome fan, this will be perfect for you!

Your home office should never be boring! It should be the space that brings out all of the creative juices inside of you, and this should be reflected by the colour scheme you go for. Think outside the box and don't be afraid to experiment with colour:

Pink is nothing to be afraid of and it actually makes a gorgeous colour for any study! It's vibrant, catches the eye and let's be honest, it's also really fun. If you're a fan of everything and anything pink, you will adore this colour in your home office! It makes for some great Instagram photos too!
