Cowboys CEO Jeff Reibel joined Cliffo & Gabi this morning to update fans across North Queensland.

Round 2 of the NRL will kick off tonight with our Cowboys facing the Bulldogs without any spectators, so what does it mean for our club?

“It’s interesting times not just for our club, but for everybody,” said Jeff.

“Our guys in particular, this is what they do, and they’re grateful for the opportunity.”

There’s been a lot debate around whether the round should be happening, however Jeff says considerations have been taken very seriously.

“We certainly wouldn’t be putting anyone in danger from a health perspective. What we’re being told is you’ve got more chance of contracting this virus staying in certain areas, than you do playing Rugby League.”

Jeff acknowledged that updates will continue to be delivered to members and fans via the Cowboys social channels, including what the rest of the season looks like, when they know that information.

Make sure you turn on Channel 9 tonight to see the game kicking off at 7:05pm!

Jeff also gave details of the strict travel plans that are in place, hear that below.
