UPDATE: Telstra is assuring residents in New South Wales, Western Australia, Queensland and South Australia that an issue affecting calls to Triple-Zero has been resolved. 

The telco issued a statement just before 6am about a cable that was cut between Orange and Bowral which was causing issues. 

The damage affected calls to Emergency Services on Triple-Zero. 

It's unknown who or what caused the cable to be damaged. 

EARLIER: NSW Police have warned Coffs Coast residents that a Telstra Network issue is affecting calls to Triple Zero this morning.

It comes as the second outage this week for the telco. 

Police say that public requiring assistance from any of the emergency services, are urged to contact Triple Zero (‘000’) in the first instance.

If unable to get through on Triple Zero, callers requiring emergency assistance should call the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.
