Teenager Charged With Murder Following Whitebridge Home Invasion
Two people still at large..
A young man has now been charged with murder following a violent home invasion at Whitebridge earlier this week.
The 19-year-old was taken into custody from a Warners Road home at Charlestown at 8:45am yesterday.
He's been refused bail and will need to face a Newcastle magistrate today.
Meantime authorities continue to search for two masked intruders who were armed with baseball bats and knives, also allegedly involved in the incident.
Tragically a 60-year-old man with a serious injury to his arm, died at the John Hunter following the events at his Lonus Avenue home.
The man’s two brothers were home at the time but were not injured.
