Taylor Swift Will Re-Record Her Music Catalogue After Scooter Braun Deal
Taylor Swift Vevo
You may remember early last month, Taylor Swift released a lengthy post on Tumblr announcing that Scooter Braun (manager of Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande) had purchased her entire music catalogue from her former label, Big Machine Records.
In the post, Taylor explained how she was forced to leave Big Machine Records last year after a dodgy contract she signed when she was 15-years-old meant she didn’t own any of her music.
The news was particularly heartbreaking for the ‘Lover’ singer, as she claimed Scooter Braun had bullied her for years: “All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative bullying I’ve received at his hands for years.”
Now, in a preview for an upcoming interview with US show Sunday Morning, Taylor is asked if she has plans to create new masters of her old songs in order to regain control of her music history.
This is when Taylor confirmed: “Yeah, absolutely.”
This is BIG!
Will Taylor be recording all her albums all over again?
Just the hits?
But wait, they are ALL hits!
You Belong With Me? Enchanted? ALL TOO WELL???
Will the recordings be exactly like the originals or tweaked?
Only time will tell, but either way, we are happy she is regaining control of her music!
Speaking of Taylor Swift, did you hear we are currently giving fans the chance to win a trip to PARIS to see her perform her new album, Lover, live!
