Tasman Highway Closed For Bridge Installation Next Week

The Tasman Highway will be closed between the Tasman Bridge and Brooke Avenue from 7pm November 2nd to 6am November 5th. 

The City of Hobart are working to install a new, all abilities pedestrian and bicycle bridge over the Tasman Highway to link two of Hobart’s most significant places of remembrance – the Cenotaph and Soldiers Memorial Avenue on the Queens Domain.

Expect delays for at least 30 minutes or longer at peak travel times and allow extra time for travel.

If travelling from north of Risdon Road to the eastern shore or north of Lindisfarne to the western shore, you're advised to use the Bowen Bridge.

Direct access to the city centre and Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre will operate as normal.
