Raids conducted by health authorities have uncovered a trend of illegal beauty imports in Sydney clinics.
Seven cosmetic clinics across Sydney were raided, with numerous products uncovered with are not listed on the Australian Register of Theurapeutic Goods.
These clinics were based in Haymarket, inner-city Sydney, Chatswood and Sydney's north.
Some of the products imported are believed to have been imported from China and South Korea, according to a report by the ABC.
- botulinum toxin injections;
- hydraluronic acid dermal filler injections;
- high strength lidocaine local anaesthetic creams;
- antiseptic lotions;
- vitamin injections;
- antiviral tablets and
- ampoules of human placenta injections.
This investigation has come after the death of beauty clinic owner Jean Huang following a botched breast procedure in Sydney last month.
