Sydney is set to face another day of bad weather, with more storms predicted for this afternoon.
Hundreds of people were left without power last night as a big storm hit the city overnight, as more than seven-thousand lightning strikes lit up the skies.
"It looks like from about 3pm there's a big chance that we will have some proper thunderstorms moving across the metro (area)," a weatherzone spokesperson to the Hit Newsroom.
"And some of those could be severe."
Heavy rain is on the forecast well into the night, with the storm looking to be spread quite evenly across Sydney.
