Last night, Australian Survivor fans were left DEVASTATED as fan-favourite and arguably Australia’s best ever player, Luke Toki, was voted off the island in 4th place.

Recognised as a major threat a little too early in Season 2, Luke was voted off in 7th place, so coming in to this season as the show’s first returning player, it’s insane that Luke lasted longer than he did the first time. Not many players can do that.

But one of the other reasons why Luke being sent home hurt a little more than usual was because he actually needed the $500,000 prize money.

The FIFO worker and his wife, Mary, have two young sons with autism and a baby girl with cystic fibrosis, so the money would have made a huge difference for his family.

But just hours after last night’s episode aired, various Go-Fund-Me pages had been set up for Luke, with one (as of writing) already passing $100,000!

Speaking with the Hit Network’s Heidi, Xavier & Pete with Juelz Jerry this morning, Luke reacted to the massive amount of support he’s received, the go-fund-me and answered which castaways he was happy to see sent home.
