Already struggling families across the Maranoa will find their struggle that much harder after today.
Dalby Food Assist will no longer be helping out families across the Maranoa with the not for profit organisation closing their doors today.
The Western Downs group has provided cheap grocery hampers for families who are finding it hard to make ends meet.
The service would make weekly stop offs in Wandoan, Miles, Roma, and Chinchilla.
Warehouse Manager Tanya Carroll has told the ABC that their decision to close the Dalby centre has been forced due to increased produce prices and rising rent.
Ms Carroll says that they cannot increase the price of the hampers as families in need could not afford an increase.
