Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has deactivated her Twitter account after her picture was used for a series of homophobic memes.

The memes depicted the actress saying homophobic quotes and have been removed by Twitter in the wake of the incident.

Millie has also disabled the comments on her Instagram account, which she posts to frequently.

The actress, who was one of the first recipients of MTV's gender-neutral award in 2017, is anti-bullying and a strong supporter of the LGBT community, who has publicly voiced her support for GLAAD’s Together movement as well as Parkland shooting survivors.
