If you were hoping to be watching the third season of Stranger Things by the end of the year, sorry, but we have some bad news.
Netflix has today confirmed that the hit series won't be returning to the streaming service until mid-next year at the earliest!
The Vice President of Original Programming at Netflix, Cindy Holland, broke the news earlier today saying that the delay is to make sure that the series' creators, the Duffer Brothers, would have enough time to make it as perfect as possible.
Whilst speaking at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, Cindy explained that there's a lot of pressure on the Duffer Brothers to deliver a great season and to make sure that the third season of Stranger Things lives up to fan expectations, they've been given more time.
"It’s a handcrafted show. They understand the stakes are high and they want to deliver something bigger and better than last year.
"I think it’s going to be an incredible season and worth the wait."
It sucks, but like Cindy said, it's going to be worth the wait!
For now, just keep watching Steve in a sailor hat.
Stranger Things season three is now set to arrive at some point after late June 2019.
