We all grew up being terrified by the classic film Jaws, only to continue jumping back in the water for a surf and swim.
Ever since, our lives have been graced with shark movie after shark movie, attempting to terrify us out of the ocean and vilify the creature from the deep.
Now, a new movie is about to hit theatres and it’s doing a damn fine job and scaring us already.
The film, 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, is the sequel to the 2017 film 47 Metres Down, which starred Australia’s Claire Holt (H20: Just Add Water, The Originals) and Mandy Moore (A Walk To Remember, The Princess Diaries, Tangled).
Instead of being stuck 47-metres down in a cage on the ocean floor, surrounded by great whites, this time round four teens get stuck diving in a ruined underwater city…
The sequel stars Corinne Foxx, Sistine Stallone, Sophie Nélisse, and Brianne Tju as its leads.
The film synopsis reads:
“Uncaged follows the diving adventure of four teenage girls exploring a submerged Mayan City.
“Once inside, their rush of excitement turns into a jolt of terror as they discover the sunken ruins are a hunting ground for deadly Great White Sharks.
“With their air supply steadily dwindling, the friends must navigate the underwater labyrinth of claustrophobic caves and eerie tunnels in search of a way out of their watery hell.”
