We’ve all got different opinions about Mr Big, Carrie’s go-to man, in Sex & The City.
You’d think it’s all just fiction, right, because it’s a TV show and the drama is so full on.
But think again - because it turns out that Mr Big was based on a real life guy!!!
The author of the series or books which inspired the show, Candace Bushnell, revealed that Mr Big was inspired by her ex-boyfriend, Ron Galotti - the former publisher of GQ.
She revealed to New York Magazine about their one-year relationship, “He was one of those New York guys with a big personality—you just notice him as soon as he walks in the room.
“I called him Mr Big because he was like a big man on campus.”
“Ron is much more of a well-rounded person than you’d think.”
She revealed how, despite seemingly living the huge life, he preferred to be home and living a quiet live - just like the Mr Big of the show and films.
Art definitely imitates life indeed!
