UPDATE: NSW Ambulance have confirmed at 12.37pm that one patient is confirmed deceased and two other patients are trapped, with at least one of them sustaining serious injuries.

There are 15 ambulance resources responding, including three NSW Ambulance & Toll Rescue Helicopters, Special Operations Team Paramedics and a road medical team.

In breaking news, NSW Ambulance is responding to a rock slide and walking track collapse at Wentworth Falls National Park.

It is understood that several people have been seriously injured, and one person has died.

The call was placed to emergency services at 11.45am to the scene at Falls Road, off the Great Western Highway.

Nine ambulances, including Special Operations Team (SOT) paramedics, two Ambulance & Toll Rescue Helicopters and a road medical team are on the way.

Two patients appear to have sustained fractures and are trapped.

NSW Police Rescue and SOT paramedics are accessing the patients now.
