A new crime prevention strategy could be on the way for the Peninsula with Central Coast Council now investigating what can be done to curb thieves at a break-in hotspot.
Jasmine Greens Park Kiosk at Umina Beach has been raided more than 30 times in the past four years, the latest two incidents over the 24 hours to yesterday morning.
Owner Gabby Greyem has blamed it on dodgy CCTV cameras at the council-owned building.
The local government says it's not been made aware of problems with the devices until now and is looking at how to fix that issue, plus why shutters installed there aren't acting as a deterrent.
While new surveillance will be set up there as part of a $47,000 federal investment across the Coast within the next 12 months.
