Christmas time means we all get to devour glorious cheeses while we wait for the main course… but we all feel a little guilty about the cheese binge, because we’ve always been told that cheese isn’t that great for you.
But now, things are about to change…
Because science has come out to say that cheese is great for your health and we are cheering.
The European Journal of Nutrition published reports from a team of Chinese and Dutch scientists, revealing that those who consume cheese every day are less likely to develop heart disease or have a stroke, in comparison to those you rarely or never consume cheese.
It was also emphasised that cheese contains beneficial ingredients, like calcium, probiotics and protein.
HOWEVER, the daily dose that scientists stated was 40grams (two and a half tablespoons)… which means our Christmas splurge won’t make the cut to deem it ‘good’ for us.
