The 2018 Poppy Appeal has been launched again this week in Sunraysia as we work up to the 100 year commemorations of the World War I Armistice.

RSL Victoria have created a special centenary armistice pin, while handcrafted poppies are also available for sale.

The organisation is hoping to raise $3 million this year for our veterans, selling poppies at our local sub-branch or local Woolworths store.

We can donate directly at the Poppy Appeal website.

The money will go towards providing financial support services to vets to purchase groceries or pay bills as well as helping some of the younger veterans retrain to find employment.

RSL Victoria president Dr Rob Webster says the poppies will be available for purchase at our local sub-branch or at Woolworths stores across Sunraysia.
